Q: What is your favorite memory from being a student at Berkley?
A: My favorite memory is the sporting events. I say this because not only do I get all my friends there, but it really feels like the school comes together as one big community. The school seems so big sometimes when you are going from class to class and not always seeing your friends in the hall.
Q: What career path are you interested in?
A: I am looking at going into psychology, more so on the science side of things. During the pandemic, I learned a lot about myself and how mental health can affect people, not just me. I feel that by learning more about mental health and the field of psychology, I can not only help make advancements in the field but make a difference to others.
Q: What is the perk of being an upperclassmen?
A: The ability to drive myself home for lunch. There is a lot of freedom in being able to go out and go home for lunch. Being able to hang out with friends and get good food is a thing that really helps to take away the stress of the morning and just relax.
Q: What is your favorite class and why?
A: My favorite class I’ve ever taken was anatomy. The labs were very interesting and the dissections were a little gross in my opinion, but it taught me so much. It was super engaging and was really difficult which made it worth it when I got a good grade in the class. I also really liked my teacher.
Q: Advice for underclassmen?
A: Find a good balance between school and having fun outside of school. It’s super important to have fun in and out of school, but finding a balance can be hard sometimes. Working hard doesn’t mean going to the library and doing 12 hours of school work and studying. What it meant to me was that when I needed to study and be ready for a test, I was. If I needed individual help, I went in. That stuff will all pay off and then you will be able to have fun outside of school, like I have ever since I found a good balance.
Q: What is your least favorite food?
A: Shrimp. I honestly have never liked it. The texture is just not my favorite and I don’t love seafood in general.
