Q: What is your favorite school club, activity, or elective?
A: “My favorite elective at BHS has to be student leadership. As a sophomore this year, this was my first year being a part of this class. I love how I am able to interact with both the community at BHS and connect with the entire Berkley community.”
Q: What is one goal you hope to achieve by the time you graduate?
A: “One goal that I hope to achieve by the end of my time at BHS is to make long-lasting friendships, make so many fun and joyful memories, and to gather more clarity and a better sense about my journey after BHS! I hope, looking back as a senior, I am able to say that I achieved all these things!”
Q: When you think about the rest of your high school career, what do you get most excited about?
A: “When I think of the rest of my high school career, I personally get most excited about all the milestones and achievements that are yet to come! Even when thinking about the end of high school (which is a little scary), I’m super excited for things like Prom, Graduation, and celebrating those moments with all my friends and family!”
Q: What is your favorite subject to learn about?
A: “My personal favorite subject is English! I absolutely love to read new things and write about all different topics. I feel that English classes offer you what not many other classes do, which allows me to get to learn even more and share my creativity.”
Q: What is one thing you took away from your freshman year or a piece of advice you would give to a freshman?
A: “One thing that I took away from my freshman year of high school is that it’s all about finding a balance! Unlike middle school, high school offers you so much more, from different classes, extracurriculars, clubs, sports, etc. But you also have to juggle the large increase in homework and hard work from just your classes. So, if I were to give one piece of advice to a freshman student, I would say to find your balance between your school life and personal life and to take all the new opportunities in your first year at BHS!”
Q: Do you like attending Berkley sporting events? If so, which sport is your favorite?
A: “One of my favorite Berkley sporting events to attend is football! I love the cheering and excitement that it brings, with everyone from Berkley, not just the students! I hope to attend more and more sporting events, including boys and girls basketball in the winter!”
Q: What is one study technique that has helped you so far in high school?
A: “One study technique that has helped me so far in high school is creating a to-do list of everything that has to get done in each specific class. At the end of a long day at school, the one thing that helps me most to stay organized is to get it all down on paper; that way I won’t forget a thing!”
