Located just ten minutes from Berkley High School, Little Ghost, which just opened on Aug. 5 2025, is a fast, casual spinoff of Detroit’s own Grey Ghost. Sitting on Woodward and growing in popularity by the day, the restaurant seems to be an instant hit. With lines out the door and a simple but delicious menu, the lit up purple building attracts everyone in to try the delicious new food. Yet the real question is: is the food worth the hype? With Little Ghost’s simple menu of primarily chicken and burgers, its backstory focuses on being Grey Ghost’s beloved younger brother, with fun flavors and mashups of delicious meals. In this article, I will give you the full breakdown of some of their menu items and my opinion on the meal choices.
Single Ghost Burger – $11
Little Ghost’s menu includes the kid’s, double, and the vegan option of the Quinoa Burger, but I opted to get the single ghost burger for a slightly cheaper but more inclusive price with toppings. While I usually am pretty picky about my burgers, I can undoubtedly say that this was one of my favorite cheeseburgers I have had in a while. I thought that the patty was perfectly cooked, and the way that the burger and cheese melted together was substantially better than almost all restaurants. I also thought that the ghost sauce and iceberg lettuce was a perfect touch. Though slightly expensive, I give the Single Ghost Burger a 9/10.
Nashville Chicken Sandwich – $13
The only chicken sandwich on the menu, I ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich with ranch, their celery root slaw, and no pickles. I thought that similar to my opinion on the Single Ghost Burger, this Chicken Sandwich tasted delicious and was one of the best I have ever had. While the celery root slaw wasn’t my favorite, I thought that the chicken was perfectly seasoned and just spicy enough for my taste. If you’re a fan of a good chicken sandwich, I would definitely move Little Ghost up to one of your top places to try. 8.5/10.
Chicken Tenders – $12
For most places, it seems hard to mess up chicken tenders, and Little Ghost definitely doesn’t do that. While it is difficult to specifically have unique chicken tenders, I thought that the crispness and tenderness of these were high quality and very worth the price. Along with the tenders, the Alabama BBQ sauce was a very suitable sauce to compliment the chicken tenders. These specific tenders were also pretty big and filled me up very well, making it a reasonable price. 8/10.
French Fries – $4
The only size and option of french fries on the menu, the french fries come in a solid portion size for a relatively low price. Along with the fries comes Little Ghost’s own “Fancy Sauce.” While I did have high expectations prior to tasting these, I was absolutely blown away by how good these fries really were. I can without a doubt say that these were my favorite fries I have ever had in my entire life. The seasoning on the fries was something I couldn’t quite put my finger on but it made the fries taste much different from those I have previously eaten. As well as this, the crispness of the fries tasted amazing, and the fancy sauce was also a delicious side to complement the fries’ impeccable taste. If you want to eat high quality fries, I would suggest no place other than Little Ghost. 10/10.
Donuts – $5
A bit of an out of the ordinary option on the menu, the mini donut holes are the only dessert related food available at Little Ghost, but they definitely did not disappoint. These donuts in particular are cinnamon flavor further topped off in cinnamon sugar. Along with the donut holes, they come with a side of dulce de leche, a sweet, rich, and smooth side to compliment the donut holes. One of my favorite things about these donuts is not only how amazing I thought they tasted, but how it came with its own sauce to give even more flavor to the donut holes themselves. I thought that the density and size of the donuts were near perfect for my tasting, and that unlike Timbits and Munchkins, I actually much preferred Little Ghost’s donut holes to the more popular options. While the limited options for donuts and price may be a downside, I still loved these donut holes and would recommend them. 8/10.
While Little Ghost remains a little more pricey than most fast casual restaurants, the amazing food, such as the life-changing fries that Little Ghost provides makes me believe that it is worth every penny and more. It’s my new favorite restaurant; I would recommend Little Ghost to everyone who wants to have a truly unique and fun food experience.
