Q: What is one perk of being an upperclassman?
A: I think the fact that I understand how everything goes, and I have a lot more relationships with teachers. I can have a lot more freedom with what I do in my school day, which is nice.
Q: What is your favorite school club, activity, or elective?
A: I’m on the swim team, so that would be one of my favorite activities. I’m also in Sources of Strength, and it’s one of my favorite classes.
Q: Do you have any words of advice for underclassmen?
A: Remember that things pass by so fast, and you should just take a moment. Even if you are feeling really busy or rushed, be grateful for that because you never know where you’re going to be later in life, and this could be the best time of your life.
Q: Do you have a career path you are interested in pursuing?
A: I’m really into photography and social media, so probably something with sports. I definitely want to go to Michigan State, so hopefully you’ll catch me there next year, but we’ll see.
Q: What is one of your favorite memories from being a student at Berkley?
A: That’s hard. I think being an underclassman at the football games and looking out at the front row of seniors and being like ‘oh my gosh, this is insane, how is this ever going to be me’ and then now being at the front of the student section.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher?
A: Mrs. Sims. I’ve had her all four years of school, so I have a really good connection with her. She’s also just an amazing human being, and she’s always so kind.
