Q: Who is your favorite teacher?
A: My favorite teacher is Mrs. Emery because she is super nice and very approachable. She’s also a pretty laid-back teacher, which makes her classes enjoyable and less stressful.
Q: What are your favorite parts of school?
A: Some of my favorite parts of school are being able to learn new things that I find interesting, that I wouldn’t outside of school.
Q: What career path are you interested in pursuing in the future?
A: I want to work in criminal defense law because I find it interesting. I want to be able to help people who may be accused of something they didn’t do. I also find the government interesting, especially some of the constitutional rights.
Q: If you could go back and reassure the freshman you about something, what would it be?
A: If I could go back and reassure my freshman self, I would say not to base your entire school year on friends or social stuff. It’s more important to just be your true self and focus on what makes you feel happy and confident.
Q: If you had to live somewhere else, where would you live and why?
A: If I had to live somewhere else, I would want to live in Japan because I could then live with my grandparents and other relatives. I would like to experience the culture and traditions there, and being close to family would make it feel like home, even in a different country.
Q: If you could add a class to the Berkley High School, what would it be?
A: If I could add a class to BHS, it would be a going-home-early class!
