https://cscsnews.com/2746/features/the-great-water-bottle-divide/

In our ever-evolving world of reusable water bottles, finding the perfect one can be a daunting task. With an abundance of choices, I have narrowed it down to my top three: the Hydro Flask, the Owala, and the Stanley. While each water bottle has unique features, only one can truly be the best. In this article, I dive into revealing which water bottle has the best overall quality and practicality. Through this exploration, I will uncover which water bottle is the best!
Before the battle begins, here is an overview of the water bottles. First, the Hydro Flask comes in 12 oz, 18 oz, 20 oz, 24 oz, 32 oz, 40 oz, and even 64 oz. There are three different lid options: the flex cap (just a cap, no straw), the sport cap (small mouth sip), and the flex straw cap (long black straw). The Stanley comes in 14 oz, 20 oz, 30 oz, and 40 oz. The Stanley also offers lid options like The Quencher (straw coming out of the bottle) and The Ice Flow (handle on top with mini straw). Lastly, the Owala comes in 24 oz, 32 oz, and 40 oz. The Owala only has one lid with a push-button open lid and a carry loop that doubles as a lock! All of these bottles have many different fun colors to choose from!
First, we will explore which water bottle has the best quality. To start off, we will compare the price. The Hydro Flask is $45, the Owala is $38, and the Stanley is $45. While the prices are in a similar range, the Hydro Flask and Owala don’t leak, but the Stanley does with its open-cap bottle. This is a big issue because you don’t want water leaking when have it in your bag or if it is in your car and falls over. All of these water bottles claim to keep the liquid inside cold, but the Hydro Flask and the Owala actually do for up to 24 hours, while the Stanley can only up to 12 hours! This makes the Hydro flask and Owala better options for sports, outdoor activities, summer, etc, and even hot drinks. To properly assess quality, we also need to compare durability. The Hydro Flask is said to last about 5-12 years, while the Owala is said to only last a few years at most. Similar to the Owala, the Stanley can last a few years, but the company has a lifetime warranty. Overall, the Hydro Flask and the Owala have the best quality.
Next, we will discuss the practicality of these three water bottles. First, the Owala water bottles are the lightest. Weight is an important factor to consider when reviewing because it can make a big difference in being comfortable. For cleaning, the Hydro Flask is the quickest to clean, and the Owala is harder to clean because there are nooks and crannies where mold grows very easily. When you clean the Owala you have to basically take apart the entire water bottle to ensure there is no mold growing. Another downside of the practicality of the Owala is that the user has to tilt the bottle to get a smooth pull from the straw. The Hydro Flask and Stanley bottles you can drink when walking or sitting, whereas you can’t with the Owala. Another plus for the Stanley bottles is that they perfectly fit into cup holders! I think the Hydro Flask and Stanley win for most practical.
The final question is which bottle is really worth it? Overall, because the Hydro Flask won for both quality and practicality it is the winner. Next time you are struggling to pick what water bottle is best for you, go with the best: the Hydro Flask.
