A Run Through of A Day in the Life of Mr. Fadoir

A Run Through of A Day in the Life of Mr. Fadoir

At 4:00 a.m. on the dot, hours before the sun rises, Mr. Fadoir, one of the BHS’s advanced mathematics teachers, wakes up to begin his day. Right away, he pulls up his Google spreadsheet and notes his weight, percent body fat, bone density, and percent water. Mr. Fadoir has been doing this spreadsheet routine for years and has collected a great amount of data on himself! Mr. Fadoir lives and breathes statistics. After, he goes on a run. Usually, he runs about five miles or more, as he is preparing for a marathon. He is training for this marathon because he wants a challenge, and wants to improve his time and experience as opposed to his last marathon. Mr. Fadior has run on every single block of Huntington Woods, Berkley, Oak Park, Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Madison Heights, Clawson, Royal Oak Township, Beulah, and Benzonia. He explains that Saturdays are for long runs. Once his run is over he then comes home and makes himself and his wife breakfast. Mr. Fadoir eats oatmeal for breakfast every day. During this time, he and his wife do puzzles! Specifically, they play the New York Times Mini Crossword, the Washington Post Mini Crossword, the New York Times Wordle, and lastly, the New York Times Connections. Following exercising his body and brain,  Mr. Fadoir showers and comes to BHS! He comes to school at 7:30 every morning. First, Mr. Fadoir has AP Statistics followed by Calculus Three then AP Calculus BC. Once the third-hour ends, Mr. Fadoir has the opportunity to go to CASA (Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts) for the afternoon. CASA is a school in Oak Park with specialized classes that students from all over the area can take. At 11:30 he leaves BHS, stops at home for lunch, and then takes a trip to CASA at noon.

In the afternoon, Mr. Fadoir teaches AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics. After these classes, on Mondays and Thursdays, he comes back to BHS. He goes to the Library Media Center (LMC) to tutor students who need extra help. On other days, after CASA, he drives to the Bloomfield Township Library and tutors more kids in math! Once this is done, Mr. Fadoir comes home and sometimes does another tutoring session but on Zoom. After tutoring, he eats dinner with his wife. One of his favorite meals is Leo’s Coney Island eggs, but he usually eats a protein bar for dinner. After a long day, he goes to sleep around 11:00 or 12:00 and sets his 4:00 a.m. alarm for yet another great accomplished day!
