Hi! My name is Maddie Collins, and this is my fourth year on staff. I am one of the Editors-in-Chief alongside Molly Frankel for The Spectator. I joined writing for publication because I love writing, and I am considering a career in journalism. Writing something you’re excited about and then getting to share it with the Berkley community is a very good opportunity that not everyone gets! I love writing about current events, sports, politics, and student life. In my free time, I play soccer, I am on the swim team, and I love traveling. I also run the Instagram account (@berkley.spectator), which gives us the ability to show Berkley what really goes into writing The Spectator! I’m really excited to take on more responsibility in the newspaper, learn more, and write fun articles! Lastly, my favorite donut from Donut Cutter is just a raised glazed!
